Expanding every year, the What IF… Festival of Innovation and Imagination presents ArcAttack for two performances at 1:00 and 4:30 in the Pikes Peak Center during What IF… festival day September 6, 2014.
One of the main attractions of ArcAttack’s performances are two custom-built singing Tesla coils, and Colorado Springs is the ideal location for the Colorado premiere of the show given its history as home to one of Nikola Tesla’s most important laboratories.
ArcAttack, which has appeared in David Blaine stunts, on National Geographic’s Known Universe, and on America’s Got Talent, began in 2005 with the invention of the first generation of the singing Tesla coil technology. Performances combine rock music and science, featuring a stunt man playing instruments electrified by the Tesla coils and a fully automated robot. The performers interact with the audience to explore electricity, currents and voltage, lightning, robotics, and magnetism.
Tickets are on sale now for the ArcAttack performances, although all experiences at What IF… festival day, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. will remain free for all ages.
Tickets to see ArcAttack live on September 6 are priced at $20.05, $14.50, and $12 and may be purchased online at www.PikesPeakCenter.com, all TicketsWest outlets, by dialing 520-SHOW or by visiting the Pikes Peak Center or The Broadmoor World Arena Box Offices.
