THE WHAT IF... FESTIVAL OF INNOVATION AND IMAGINATION RETURNS ON SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 15  - 9/10/2012

Colorado Springs, CO – The 2012 WHAT IF…Festival of Innovation and Imagination is returning to its familiar six-block footprint in downtown Colorado Springs on Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 10am-4pm. The award-winning event, presented by Imagination Celebration in partnership with the Pikes Peak Library District and All Pikes Peak Reads, will again show off the innovative nature of various organizations, businesses, schools and individuals in the Pikes Peak region. Booths and experiences will range from robots to cycles (mono/bi/tri, and more) to a giant slingshot catapult to digital inventiveness to Rube Goldberg Machines to dance and movement. CALL FOR “RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINES” FOR WHAT IF…FESTIVAL ON SEPTEMBER 15 - 8/10/2012

Colorado Springs, CO – The Special Collaborations Committee for the What IF...Festival of Innovation and Imagination has announced a call for Rube Goldberg Machines for the upcoming September 15 Festival. Up to 18 teams will be able to link their machine as a vital piece of the final huge Rube Goldberg Machine. Applications are now being accepted to create a section of the What IF...Festival Rube Goldberg Machine at the Festival website, www.whatif-festival.org. Applications are due by August 31 with the number of spaces for machines very limited.  Click here for the media release.

The Festival features interactive Experiences, booths where Festival-goers and local innovators, businesses and organizations have one-on-one encounters. Festival organizers are now announcing a “Don’t Miss Your Chance” call for groups and individuals to register proposal applications for their unique interactive Experiences. coming to downtown Colorado Springs on Saturday, September 11. The new event will
show off the innovative nature of various organizations, businesses, schools and
individuals in the Pikes Peak region. The Festival site embraces the Pikes Peak Center,
the Pioneers Museum and the Plaza of the Rockies; including areas in between each
locale. Both the interior facilities and surrounding grounds of these locations will be
